101/1001

I was blog surfing tonight and I ran across this blog and this idea and I decided that instead of just making new years resolutions I was going to do this idea. So miss Kait (who spells your name like my sister Smile ) I am going to fulfill your number 14. Love this idea and thank you so much for sharing!
So here’s the deal:

About The Project

Sponsored by Day Zero, the home of the 1001 Day Project. A unique challenge that inspires you to set and achieve your personal goals in life.
The Challenge:
Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.
The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on your part).
Why 1001 Days?
Many people have created lists in the past - frequently simple challenges such as New Year's resolutions or a 'Bucket List'. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organizing and timing some tasks such as overseas trips, study semesters, or outdoor activities.
Start date: February 6, 2011
End date: November 3, 2013

And it was a live session which was pretty remarkable- I really would like to go back some day soon!
36. Volunteer at a hospital-- I work at the Northwest Medical Center in the Cardiopulmonary department. I help with stocking and going around to the different departments in the hospital to make sure that all of the Respiratory Therapists have what they need to do their job. I love going and participating in the great service environment. This hospital has an awesome volunteer department. I didn't realize how many people volunteer- it is quite amazing. I feel like this experience is also helping me get ready for school! (which i start Respiratory therapy school in the fall :) )
37. Make one new meal from a recipe once a month See recipes we love for details
38. Give someone a Book of Mormon with my testimony in it For Christmas this past year, I gave one of my friends a Book of Mormon. I just kept feeling like I needed to write down my feelings in a letter and give her something special. Well what better place to write down feelings in than a Book of Mormon! I have no idea if she will ever pick it up and read it, but I know that I feel good about giving her the gift that I did.
39. Build something out of wood- like a bed frame or a shelf
40. Plant a garden- make sure to include Jasmine! We planted corn, tomatoes, beans, green onions, watermelon, red pepper, and Jasmine. We have picked several beans that were oh so amazing to eat. We also have picked one tomato and have three more almost done! There are ears of corn already growing and the watermelon is vine-ing like crazy! The Jasmine smelled amazing when it bloomed! I love having that smell right there before I walk into the house. We are still waiting for the red pepper and the onions to do something more... Oh we also did cilantro and basil. The cilantro I think would be best as a potted plant because it didn't last long being in the ground, and the basil did poorly at the beginning but then shot up and we love being able to season food with fresh herbs.  It's been super fun to grow a garden and I have learned a ton for my next garden! This is something that I really want to make a big part of life though- it is so wonderful to see fruits of labor literally.
